Abstract
This study explores the relationship between temporal perspectives and self-concept among adolescent males. Time perspectives, understood as the cognitive and emotional orientation toward past, present, and future, influence behavior, motivation, and decision-making. Self-concept reflects an individual’s perception, evaluation, and acceptance of themselves, including aspects such as self-esteem and self-efficacy. The article analyzes theoretical foundations, measurement methods, and empirical findings, highlighting how different temporal orientations are associated with positive or negative aspects of self-concept. Implications for educational and psychological interventions are discussed.
